Welcome to the NSU Math Clinic!
The NSU Math Clinic is a free, after-school mathematics enrichment tutoring program for children in grades 3-8. Each child is paired with an NSU elementary/special education major who guides the child through 14 mathematics lessons under the supervision of the NSU Math Clinic Director. The clinic currently offers a unit on fractions, including concepts related to fraction understanding, equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, and fraction operations (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). The clinic registration form will open one month before the start of each fall and spring semester at NSU and close at the start of each semester.
Acceptance into the clinic is determined by a first-come, first-served basis and at the discretion of the clinic director (e.g., appropriateness based on the child’s grade level and/or mathematics achievement). After reviewing registration applications, the clinic director will contact the parents/guardians via phone or email regarding their child's acceptance status.
